We are pleased to let you know that our medical centre now offering comprehensive in-house audiology services for our patients in partnership with dB Hearing Specialists.

 

Registered Audiologist with over 10 years of experience in clinical and diagnostic settings, wax management, hearing aids fitting and hearing related issues, strong expertise in rehabilitation, providing patient counselling and collaborating with other healthcare providers to optimize patient care.

 

These services are designed to make hearing care more accessible by eliminating the need to travel and find the facility.

They include:

• Full comprehensive hearing assessments

• Micro-suction earwax removal

• Hearing aid fitting, maintenance, and management

• Tinnitus support

• Hearing-related accessories

All services are provided on-site by Audiologist Deborah, who is visiting our clinic every week Thursday.

 

Free for Eligible Residents: If you hold a Pensioner Concession Card (PCC), DVA – Gold card and DVA white card for Hearing specific most of the services are completely bulk billed under the Australian Government’s Hearing Services

Program.

This includes:

• Annual hearing checks

• Ongoing hearing aid maintenance and management

• batteries and repairs

• Support for hearing loss, including hearing aid fittings and replacements

• Loss and damage coverage

 

Those who have Medicare card with GP's referral may incur small gap fee.

 

Participation in our in-clinic audiology services is entirely optional. If you prefer, you are welcome to continue seeing your own external audiologist or audiometrist.

DR. YASITH EDIRISINGHE ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON

Dr. Yasith Edirisinghe is an Australian trained Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. He has a special interest in application of novel surgical technology to improve surgical outcomes.

Dr. Ediri is well versed in contemporary technology such as robotic joint replacement surgery, kinematic alignment strategies, ACL remnant preservation surgery and direct anterior approach hip surgery.

On your consultation with Dr. Ediri he will discuss a personalised solution for your condition that may provide the best outcome for you. Dr.Ediri focuses on enhanced patient recovery strategies to get patients back on their feet faster.

Dr. Ediri spent his childhood years in New Zealand and completed his medical education through University of Auckland. Upon completion of his medical training, he migrated to Australia in 2008 where he worked in many major metropolitan hospitals in Victoria. He has since then completed the Australian Orthopaedic Surgical training program in Australia. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2022. He has also then subsequently completed a subspecialty training in knee arthroscopy and arthroplasty to treat sports knee injuries and knee reconstructive surgery using novel keyhole techniques. 

Dr. Ediri now works in both the private and public hospital sector in South Australia.

DR. SHIRANTHA ADIKARI   Consultant Geriatrician, FRACP

Dr. Shirantha Adikari is a Consultant Physician specializing in Geriatric Medicine, with a wealth of experience in both hospital and community care since 1996. His extensive career spans various health networks across Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka.

Shirantha has over a decade of experience in care of the elderly and has managed all Geriatric syndromes. He has a special interest in Geriatric Pharmacology, Dementia, Delirium, Orthogeriatric care, and Parkinson’s disease. Furthermore, he brings a wealth of experience in General Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Clinical Pharmacology, coupled with involvement in clinical research focused on Diabetes and Metabolism.

Throughout his career, Shirantha has practiced in diverse health centres, including locations in Sri Lanka, Auckland, Sydney, Adelaide, Cairns, and Melbourne. Committed to advocating for the elderly, he is passionate about providing personalized and holistic patient care, emphasizing shared decision-making.
